My welcome words are waiting

"Waiting for a review" beside Welcome words means a person is checking your account's welcome words before they are added; the Free plan's own words work in the meantime.

"Waiting for a review" beside Welcome words means a person is checking your account's welcome words before they are added; the Free plan's own words work in the meantime.

Who this is for

The Owners and Billing members of an account on Free whose Plan & billing shows Welcome words as Waiting for a review, or whose dashboard shows Welcome words in review.

What happens next

Welcome words are given once per person. Some grants are held for a person to review before they are added. While the review is open:

  • Plan & billing reads "Waiting for a review. Translation within the Free plan works now."

  • The account's Owners are emailed "Welcome words are waiting for a review".

  • Translation works within the Free plan's words a cycle.

When the review ends, the Owners are emailed again: either "Welcome words were added to {account}", and the words appear under Welcome words, or "Welcome words will not be added to {account}", and the account carries on with Free's words. You do not need to do anything to start or finish the review.

A different wait: the phone check. When Plan & billing shows {phone} more welcome words with "Confirm a mobile number once to add them to this account. Each number works once.", the rest of the welcome words wait for a phone check, not for a review. An Owner selects Confirm a mobile number and enters the code sent by text message.

No welcome words at all. When Welcome words reads Not available on this account with "This email address or sign-in has already received a welcome grant.", the person already received welcome words with another account, so this account has Free's words alone.

If it doesn't work

  • If the review is taking long, email support and name the account.
