An account holds the plan, the card and the invoices for the workspaces in it, and a workspace holds the projects and the people who work on them.
Who this is for
Everyone. Workspace roles decide what you can do inside a workspace; the account's Owners and Billing members decide what the workspaces cost.
What happens next
One plan for every workspace. The plan belongs to the account. Every workspace in the account shares its words, seats, projects, languages and translation speed, and the account's usage is counted across all of them. A workspace has no plan of its own.
Two kinds of people manage an account:
Owners control every workspace in the account and its billing. They can delete a workspace, set up single sign-on, require a second factor and close the account. Each Owner takes one seat. An account always keeps at least one Owner.
Billing members handle the plan, the card, the invoices and the company details. They have no access to the workspaces, and take no seat unless they also join a workspace as a teammate.
Everyone else is a teammate in a workspace, with a workspace role: Admin, Developer, Reviewer or Translator. A teammate needs only a sign-in, needs no account of their own, and pays nothing. A seat is one person, counted once however many workspaces of the account they reach.
The account's settings are under Account in your settings, for each account you are an Owner or Billing member of. Owners and Billing members open:
Overview: the plan, the words this cycle, the next invoice, the seats and the workspaces at a glance, the people who manage the account and its recent changes.
Plan & billing and Usage: the plan, the card, the invoices, and the words each workspace used.
Account log: what changed on the account, and who changed it.
Owners also open:
Owners & billing members: who manages the account.
Workspaces: every workspace the account holds, with New workspace.
General: the account's name, and Close account.
More than one account. You can own or manage several accounts, for example one per client. Each has its own plan and its own invoices. You can own one account on Free at a time; another account starts on a paid plan.
