Approve or flag a translation

Mark a translation as reviewed, or send it back for another look, one at a time or in bulk.

Mark a translation as reviewed, or send it back for another look, one at a time or in bulk.

Who this is for

Reviewers and admins, and the Owners of the account that holds the workspace. Translators and developers can write translations but cannot approve them. A reviewer scoped to particular languages can only review those languages.

Steps

To review one string:

  1. Select its row in the editor.

  2. In the context panel, find the Review section.

  3. Select Approve to accept it, or Flag to mark it as needing attention.

To review many at once:

  1. Tick the checkbox on each row you want, or select a group.

  2. The bulk bar appears showing how many are selected.

  3. Select Approve or Flag. Clear drops the selection.

What happens next

Approve sets the translation's state to Reviewed: the highest state, and the one delivery can be told to require. Flag marks it as needing review, which is what puts a count against the language on the project overview and what Review → filters to.

A reviewed translation is never overwritten by AI.

If it doesn't work

  • If the Review section and the bulk Approve / Flag buttons are missing, you do not have review permission in this project.

  • A bulk review reports how many it approved when it finishes; if it fails it says so rather than silently doing nothing.
