Translation speed and AI limits

Each plan translates at a speed tier, and its AI suggestions, assistant replies and glossary extractions have a limit each cycle, all shared by every workspace in the account.

Each plan translates at a speed tier, and its AI suggestions, assistant replies and glossary extractions have a limit each cycle, all shared by every workspace in the account.

Who this is for

The Owners and Billing members of the account, who see the tier and the limits, and anyone wondering why a job is waiting or an AI feature has stopped.

What happens next

Speed tiers. Free and Starter translate at Normal speed, Team and the open source plan at High speed, and Business and Enterprise at Max speed. A higher tier works through more of a job at once.

Shared by the account. Every workspace in an account shares the account's translation speed and its AI limits. While the account has several workspaces, no single workspace can use all of the account's translation speed or all of an AI limit, so a busy workspace always leaves room for the others.

Work beyond the speed waits its turn. A job that arrives while the account is already translating at its speed is queued, and runs as soon as there is room. It never fails because of speed.

AI limits. AI suggestions, assistant replies and glossary extraction each have a limit per cycle. When one is reached, new requests of that kind are refused until the reset date on the account's Usage page, for example "{account} has used its AI suggestions for this cycle. They reset on {date}." Translation carries on.

Where to see them. Plan & billing shows the plan's Translation speed in the Plan card, and every plan's in Compare in detail. The account's Usage page shows it under Plan limits as "Translation speed:" and the tier, with the reset date of the AI limits.

If it doesn't work

  • "This workspace has used its share of AI suggestions for this cycle. They reset on {date}.": the workspace reached its share of the account's limit. Other workspaces in the account can still use theirs.

  • "Not run: the assistant has reached its limit for this billing cycle.": the assistant's limit is reached until the reset date.
