The audit log

An append-only record of every security-relevant act in the workspace: who let someone in, who granted power, who minted a credential.

An append-only record of every security-relevant act in the workspace: who let someone in, who granted power, who minted a credential.

Who this is for

Admins, and the Owners of the account that holds the workspace, when the account is on the Enterprise plan. The people who can change roles and mint credentials are the people who can read who did.

What happens next

Audit log in the workspace's settings lists Events, newest first, and records role changes, credential creation, integration changes and deletions the moment they happen. Entries are never edited or removed. Filter by action narrows the list, and Export CSV downloads it.

The audit log is the workspace's security record: access, credentials and configuration. Activity on a project is the product history: keys, translations, batches and the glossary. Use activity to find out when a string changed; use the audit log to find out who was given the ability to change it.

Changes to the account itself, such as the plan, the card, the seats and cap, invoices, its people and its workspaces, are on the account's Account log, which its Owners and Billing members read.

If it doesn't work

  • "Audit log is an Enterprise feature": "We record every security-relevant act regardless of plan. Reading and exporting the trail is an Enterprise feature." Enterprise is arranged with sales, so the panel offers Contact sales.

  • "Nothing to audit yet": nothing auditable has happened in this workspace yet.

  • "No entries for that action.": the filter matches nothing. Choose All actions.
