Sign in with your device's fingerprint, face or security key instead of a password.
Who this is for
Everyone, for their own account.
Steps
Open Settings, choose You, then Password & sign-in.
Under Passkeys ("Sign in without a password, using your device's biometrics or security key."), add one.
Follow your device's prompt: fingerprint, face, device PIN, or a hardware security key.
Give it a name so you can tell your devices apart later.
What happens next
The passkey is listed with when it was added and when it was last used. On the sign-in page you can now use it instead of typing a password.
Register one per device you regularly sign in from. A passkey never leaves the device it was created on, so a phone's passkey does not help you on a laptop.
If it doesn't work
If the prompt does not appear, the browser or device may not support passkeys. Keep using a password with two-factor.
Removing a passkey is immediate. Do not remove your last one unless you know your password.
