Join a workspace, or help manage an account, using the private link in the invitation email.
Who this is for
Anyone who has been invited. There is no way to look an invitation up: the link in the email is the only route in. A teammate invited to a workspace needs no account of their own and pays nothing.
Before you start
You need a transglot login on the same email address the invitation was sent to. If you do not have one yet, the invitation page lets you sign up with that address.
Steps
Open the link in the invitation email.
Read the invitation. A workspace invitation shows Join followed by the workspace name, and the role you were invited as. An account invitation reads Help manage followed by the account name, with the role Owner or Billing: it is about the account that pays for a set of workspaces, not about a single workspace.
If you are not signed in, use Sign in or sign up with the invited address. You are brought straight back to the invitation.
Select Accept invitation.
What happens next
For a workspace invitation, you join the workspace with the role the invitation named, and it appears on your dashboard. If the invitation was scoped to a single project, that is the only project you see. The people who manage the workspace are told you joined.
For an account invitation, you become an Owner or a Billing member of the account: "You are now a member of {account}." The account's settings appear under Account in your settings. A Billing member reaches no workspace through it.
If it doesn't work
"This invitation has expired. Ask for a new one.": invitations last seven days. Ask whoever invited you to send another.
"This invitation was sent to a different email address.", or the page names both addresses and says "Only that address can accept it.": you are signed in as someone else. Select Sign out, then open the link while signed in with the invited address.
"Confirm your email address to accept this invitation.": open the confirmation link sent to your address, which brings you back to the invitation.
"You already own a Free account, {holder}. You can own one Free account at a time.": you were invited as an Owner of an account on Free. Upgrade, leave or close your own Free account, then open the link again.
If the link does not open at all, the invitation may have been revoked.
