Bring an outside translator in so they see exactly one project, and optionally only the languages you hired them for.
Who this is for
Admins, and the Owners of the account that holds the workspace.
Before you start
Decide the single project and the exact locales. The scope is set on the invitation, and it decides whether a contractor sees one job or your whole workspace. A vendor takes one seat on the account's plan and pays nothing.
Steps
Open People for your workspace and select Invite someone.
Enter their Email address and choose the Role, usually Translator.
Select Choose a scope. Under What they can open, pick the single project they should work on instead of All projects.
In Locales they will own, list the languages, for example
de, pt-BR. Leave it empty to give them every locale in that project.Select Review the invite, check What they will see, then select Send the invite.
What happens next
When they accept, they join the workspace as a scoped member with access to that one project, and they see nothing else. Under Who reaches what their access reads project-scoped.
A translator can edit translations in the locales they hold, and cannot approve their own work. Approving belongs to Reviewer and Admin, so the person who writes a translation is not the person who signs it off.
To give them a tracked job with a due date and a review step rather than open-ended access, follow up with an assignment.
If it doesn't work
"That project does not belong to this workspace.": the project you picked is not one of yours.
"Unknown locale: use BCP-47 tags like de or pt-BR.": check the tags.
If your plan has no seat left, the form reports the limit and no invitation is sent.
If they report seeing nothing after accepting, check the grant on the project's Settings, under Project access.
