Change a project's display name, or the web address it has in the console.

Before you start
Changing the web address breaks bookmarks and links to the project's pages in the console, links in emails already sent, export download links already shared, and README badges. Translations delivered through the CDN and the API keep working.
The old address is not held back for you. Another project in the same workspace can take it later, and links that still use it would then lead to that project.
Steps
Open the project, then Settings.
On General, under Names, edit Name: described as "The project's display name across the console."
To change the web address, edit Web address. The address the project will have is shown under the field as you type.
Select Save changes.
If you changed the web address, you are asked "Change this project's web address?" with the current and the new address. Select Change address to save, or Cancel to go back without saving anything.
What happens next
The new name shows everywhere the project is listed. If you changed the web address, the project opens at the new one straight away, and the field shows the address that was saved.
A web address change is announced, because it breaks links for other people too. The workspace's admins and the Owners of its account, including you, get an email and a notification naming the old address and the new one, the change is added to the project's activity, and it is recorded in the workspace audit log. A rename is not announced: nothing outside the console moves.
If it doesn't work
A web address can use lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens only, and 120 characters at most. If you type anything else, the message under the field says so and, when it can, suggests an address that is allowed: for "My Website!" it suggests "my-website".
If the web address you want is already used by another project in the same workspace, the form rejects it.
If Settings is not offered, you are not an admin of this workspace or an Owner of its account.
