The dashboard, Portfolio, is the view across every workspace you can reach, grouped by the account each one belongs to. Before your first strings land it shows you what to do next, and once they land it becomes what shipped, what it saved, and what needs your attention.

Who this is for

Everyone. It is the page you land on after signing in, and what it covers is every workspace you belong to.

What happens next

Before anything has shipped, the page guides rather than reports, because every figure on it would be a zero. It opens by saying so, then shows Setup steps labelled Across your workspaces: the five steps that take a workspace from empty to translating, with the number you have finished so far. Steps you have already finished are folded behind a line reading "N already done", so what is left comes first. Open it to see them.

Under the checklist are the ways to bring your strings in. Only the ways your plan and your role can actually use are shown as cards. Anything closed to you is named underneath, with what would open it:

  • Upload files: drop a JSON, YAML or XLIFF file. Included on every plan.

  • Locale folder: zip your locales directory, and the files map to languages.

  • Migrate: bring your keys and translations across from six other tools. Translation memory and glossaries are separate imports, so they do not come with it.

  • Connect your repo: the command line tool or the GitHub Action. Starter and up.

  • Connect a tool: Contentful, Figma, Shopify and the rest of the marketplace. Starter and up.

  • Explore a sample: a finished project with real strings, to look around first. Needs a spare project, so a plan holding one project has to free it up first.

Once your first strings are in, the report takes the page. Four figures run across the top:

  • Words reused at $0: words served from translation memory instead of being translated again, with the number of reused translations underneath.

  • AI words this cycle: the words used this cycle against the plan's allowance, across the accounts whose workspaces you can reach.

  • Active batches: translation jobs running right now.

  • Projects: how many projects you can see, across how many workspaces.

Below them, Translation memory shows the words reused this month, and Overall progress shows the share of your target strings that are translated.

The workspaces are grouped by account. Each group is headed by the account's name and plan, with a short note when something needs attention, such as Payment problem or Trial ending. If you are an Owner or Billing member of the account, the group shows the account's words this cycle and Account settings; otherwise it names who to ask about the plan. Each workspace row offers Open workspace and, if you reach the whole workspace, its words this cycle. Recent activity shows what has been happening across every workspace. With one workspace, View all opens that workspace's full feed. With several, the link is named after the first workspace, for example View Acme, and opens that workspace's feed.

The checklist does not vanish when the report takes over. It carries on as the collapsible N of M set up widget at the bottom of the sidebar, on every page, until every step is done or you close it.

If it doesn't work

  • If you belong to no workspace yet, the page shows Start your workspace instead of any of this, with Create a workspace. If you are expecting an invitation, do not create a workspace: "Invitations arrive by email as a private link. Open that link to join your team's workspace."

  • If a project you expect is missing, you may not have access to it. Ask an admin.

  • Explore a sample seeds a real project, so your plan needs room for one more. When there is none left the card says Needs a spare project instead of offering itself, rather than refusing you after the click.

  • If you were granted specific projects rather than a whole workspace, and none of them has strings yet, you get the report and its zeros rather than the checklist, because its steps, such as creating the workspace and inviting the team, are already done.
