Assignments turn "someone should translate German" into a tracked piece of work with an owner, a due date and a review step.

Who this is for

Everyone. A translator sees the work assigned to you on this project; an admin sees the whole board and the form to assign more.

What happens next

Each assignment moves through five states:

  • Assigned: created, not started.

  • In progress: the translator has picked it up.

  • Submitted for review: the translator says it is done.

  • Approved: a reviewer accepted it.

  • Changes requested: a reviewer sent it back.

The buttons you see depend on which side of it you are on. As the assignee you get Start and then Submit for review. As a reviewer you get Approve and Request changes. Somebody who is both sees both.
