Why are my translations not reaching my app?

Almost always because the locale is translated but not published: the editor and the CDN are deliberately two different things.

Who this is for

Anyone who has translated something and cannot see it in their product.

What happens next

Work through these in order.

Is the locale published? Editing a translation does not publish it. Open the project's Deploy and look at Locale readiness: a locale that says never published has no bundle for your app to fetch, however complete it looks in the editor. Publish it.

Is it published since your change? Published versions are immutable. A change you made after publishing is not in the version your app is reading. Publish again.

Are you reading the version you think you are? If your app requests a specific immutable version, it will keep getting that one forever; that is what immutable means. Point it at the latest address, or bump the version.

Is it cache? The latest address revalidates rather than being fetched fresh every time, so give a new publish about a minute.

Is your app asking for the right format? A version is published in exactly one format. Asking for a different one finds nothing.

Are you pulling instead of publishing? If your build pulls translations down at build time rather than reading the CDN at runtime, then nothing reaches your app until you run that build.
